  • The Robert Mueller Testimony was today and it had Democrats salivating at the thought of Mueller giving them what they need to impeach Trump. Republicans, on the other hand, were ready to strike down at Mueller and figure out how the investigation started. They have asked their questions and Mueller has given answers, here are 8 takeaways from the Mueller testimony:

    1.) Disappointing the Democrats

Mueller’s answers did not make the Democrats happy, they could not draw out any substantial information for their Trump impeachment goal. Mueller could not make many comments on the conclusions of his investigation outside of differing to his report because of the Justice Department guidelines and laws surrounding the grand jury.

    2.) How Did it Start?

The Republicans didn't get the information that they were looking for either. They kept asking Mueller about the Steele dossier, a document that was allegedly used to obtain the initial FISA warrant and a document that was paid for by the DNC and Clinton campaign during the 2016 election, but Mueller declined to comment on that matter due to same reasons he couldn't answer the Democrat’s questions.

    3.) Mueller is Slippery

Mueller proved slippery even when he could give an answer and when he was baited into saying something he could not legally say. He avoided almost all controversy that came his way but was caught a handful of times saying something that will make headlines.

4.) Trump-Mueller Disagreement on FBI Job?

One instance that is sure to be reported on by the media and many others is when Mueller told Congress that Trump had it wrong about an incident where he was involved in a job interview. Trump tweeted that Mueller was interviewing for a job but Mueller claims that he was merely a participant in the interview process not the person being interviewed.

    5.) Democrat Formula

The Democrats had a clear formula for their questioning, here is how it went:

    > Praise Mueller

    >Ask Question Mueller Can Not Answer

    > Mueller Defers to his Report

    > Thank Mueller and Claim His Answer is a Bombshell

    >Attack Trump

6.) Trump Indictment Never an Option

Mueller reiterated once again that indicting Trump was never an option, this is in accordance with Justice Department guidelines about indicting a sitting President. Something that talk show host Mark Levin pointed out when the investigation first started.

    7.) Mueller on Fire

Mueller was quiet for almost all of the hearing, but one comment set his eyes ablaze. Republican Greg Steube made comments about those who worked under Mueller and alleged misconduct, Mueller pushed back hard and angrily on this point. This was rare to see and possibly the most interesting thing that happened in this event.

    8.) No Loser, No Winner

The most important takeaway from this event is that there is none, no winners and no losers. Not much was learned but the possibility of a big detail coming out was speculated, although unlikely. This is why the media hype around the event was so prevalent. Democrats didn't get what they wanted and Republicans didn’t get the information that they wanted.
