Republicans promised to repeal and replace Obamacare for seven years.

Then they got full control of Washington and revealed that they didn’t have a plan.

Part of the problem is that they don’t actually have control of the Senate.

They may have the majority in terms of people with an “R” next to their name.

But, many of those elected officials are not Republicans.

McCain, Collins, Murkowski, Heller, etc.

Can’t trust them as far as you can throw them.

Today, Susan Collins weighed in on the latest attempt to fix Obamacare.

She’s out. Which means the bill is in big trouble.

From USA Today:

Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, a key Republican vote on health care, announced Monday that she will oppose the last-ditch GOP effort to overhaul Obamacare, essentially leaving the bill dead.

Republicans, with 52 seats in the Senate, can lose just two votes and still pass the bill introduced by Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Bill Cassidy, R-La., Dean Heller, R-Nev., and Ron Johnson, R-Wis.

Without McCain and Collins it doesn’t look good.

However, Rand Paul could still come around and you never know if you could swing a Democrat at the last second.

One thing is for sure.

This has become an embarrassing situation for Republicans.
