Joe Biden Traps Americans, Allies He Left Behind

NEW YORK — Is Joe Biden on America’s side?

This incredible question — unthinkable in recent memory — underscores the canyonesque depths of the president’s callousness and staggering disregard for his own countrymen and those who have stood with America in the battle against al-Qaeda and Biden’s new best friends: The Taliban.

In a development that is almost impossible to believe, Joe Biden’s State Department has worked hard to trap within Afghanistan the very same U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, and pro-American Afghans whom they abandoned by the thousands as part of Biden’s epic act of premature withdrawal.

Fox News Channel’s Peter Hasson on Wednesday reported exclusively on an e-mail sent from the State Department to Eric Montalvo. This private citizen is laboring as mightily as the Biden Administration should be — but isn’t — to deploy private flights to save Americans still in Afghanistan.

Rather than applaud and assist Montalvo’s valiant efforts, the State Department has impeded his mission.

“No independent charters are allowed to land at [Al Udeid Air Base], the military airbase you mentioned in your communication with Samantha Power. In fact, no charters are allowed to land at an [sic] DoD base and most if not all countries in the Middle Eastern region, with the exception of perhaps Saudi Arabia will allow charters to land,” a State Department functionary e-mailed Montalvo on September 1.

“You need to find another destination country, and it can’t be the U.S. either,” the State Department bureaucrat sniffed.

“Once you have had discussions with the host/destination country and reached an agreement, they may require some indication from the USG that we ‘approve’ of this charter flight. DOS will not provide an approval, but we will provide a ‘no objection’ to the destination country government via the U.S. Embassy in that country.”

Such intransigence starts at the top, with Biden, and trickles down through Secretary of State Antony Blinken to the pencil-pusher who threw  monkey wrenches in Montalvo’s machinery of mercy. If Biden truly wanted every American in Afghanistan home in time for dinner, Blinken and his entire building full of deputy assistant undersecretaries would move Heaven and Hell to see that every guest of the Taliban instead supped with his loved ones before the soup got cold.

Instead, Montalvo and his band of heroes is told to back off.

Sick.

Biden is several notches below a stubborn, yet negligent, father of five who drives home from the mall with three of his children at exactly 6:00 p.m. He knows full well that his two other kids cannot meet that deadline because they are being followed by MS-13 members. Nonetheless, he burns rubber out of the parking lot and speeds back to the family house.

Even worse, when concerned relatives arrange to transport the two trapped kids back to their residence, Biden arranges roadblocks so that they cannot escape the shopping center. So, they remain subject to the whims of local thugs.

Biden’s “Up yours!” attitude to his own countrymen goes 20,000 leagues under the minimal expectations of his harshest critics last fall.

Biden has become America’s sadist-in-chief. He shuttered the Keystone XL Pipeline and sacked its workers on his first afternoon in office. Biden’s no-border policy has exposed U.S. citizens to COVID-19-infected illegal aliens. And now Team Biden is laboring mightily to keep Americans behind Taliban lines. Do Biden & Co. enjoy hurting their fellow citizens? If not, then it’s beyond debate that Biden and his minions do not give a goddamn how much Americans suffer — even physically — due to their actions.

Even the execrable Bill Kristol must concede that “the bully,” Donald J. Trump, neither would instruct nor permit Mike Pompeo to ground Americans as they tried to fly out of Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

Leave it to Joe Biden to transform the U.S. State Department into the enemy of the American people.
