The Supreme Court just made a big ruling on immigration.

President Trump wants to make sure those coming to America aren’t jumping on the welfare bandwagon. He wants them to work hard to make this country a better place.

The same as everyone else, right?

Because of that, he’s implemented a new rule to prevent newcomers from taking benefits.

Of course, Democrats took this issue to the courts. It went all the way to the Supreme Court.

And now a 5-4 decision has set the record straight.

From The Hill:

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration on Friday night in a case that contested the president’s “public charge” rule, which critics have called a “wealth test” for legal immigrants.

Boom! The Supreme Court upheld the “public charge” rule that limits welfare recipients from acquiring green cards.

It is a simple measure to make sure legal immigrants are working, instead of sucking from taxpayer funds.

But Sonia Sotomayor was not happy. Not only was she frustrated that the Democrats lost, but she is accusing her fellow justices of some bad behavior.

From Fox News:

Sotomayor’s problems with the conservative majority’s ruling went far beyond this case, claiming that it was symptomatic of the court’s habit of siding with the government when they seek emergency stays of rulings against them.

Oh, that’s rich. She is accusing the courts of siding with the Trump administration! As if we haven’t watched for years as liberal judges defended and promoted the left’s progressive agenda.

It’s no secret that Democrats quickly rush to the courts to get their way. When they don’t have the votes (or support from the American people), they take their agenda to judges.

And many of these judges were Obama-appointed activists who just pushed through their plans.

Hardly sounds democratic, does it?

Yet now that Trump’s given the Supreme Court a Constitutionally-minded majority that considers the facts of the case, suddenly there’s a problem.

Poor Sonia – she can’t stop Trump’s big win.
