Poll: 2-in-3 Americans Oppose "Catch-and-Release"

The latest Harvid/Harris Poll confirms that a clear majority of Americans reject releasing illegal immigrants into the interior of the United States to await their asylum court hearings. Instead, 2-in-3 Americans think self-proclaimed asylum seekers should be immediately turned back to their country of origin to await a hearing from the other side of the border. Per the poll, less than 35% of all voters support such "catch and release" practices by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The poll also reveals that 47% want the asylum system fixed to stop massive fraud and abuse of America's generosity.
