Since it started this Friday and until 9.00 pm, Salvamento Marítimo has intercepted 62 boats in the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar or the Alboran Sea , rescuing a total of 686 people from these boats, four of whom had deceased In addition, the boats and rescue aircraft are looking for six other boats that would also sail to Andalusian coasts.
Sources of Maritime Rescue have informed Europa Press that in the Strait of Gibraltar, 57 boats have been intercepted , with 471 people rescued alive and the bodies of four other people rescued.
In the case of the Alboran Sea, five boats have been intercepted , with the rescue of 211 people, all of them alive, according to Maritime Rescue.
However, in the Alboran Sea, six more pateras would sail to Andalusian coasts, with which Maritime Rescue is trying to locate these vessels, and an Air Rescue Service (SAR) aircraft was included in the search tasks.
