FEEDING 800 ISAAC VICTIMS DINNER TONIGHT

I just connected with Gary LeBlanc of Mercy Chefs who tells me his team fed 300 Isaac victims and volunteers for breakfast this morning and then the word spread to surrounding communities.
As a result, more than 450 showed up for lunch with the line stretching a quarter mile long to the Mercy Chefs kitchen. Due to travel difficulties, Gary's team ran short of supplies and has spent the afternoon restocking.

Now Gary and his team are anticipating feeding 800 people for dinner this evening in three locations in Louisiana -- Slidell, Kenner and Baton Rouge -- and then it all starts again Sunday morning and throughout the Labor Day weekend.
I told Gary I would get the word out to Grassfire Nation today and rally support. This is one of the most practical ways you can help fellow Americans who right now are facing extremely difficult circumstances in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac.

Hundreds of thousands are still without power and countless are homeless -- their lives devastated by a storm that simply would not leave the state.
