PREPARING FOR ISAAC

As Isaac bears down on the Gulf Coast, our friends at Mercy Chefs have already dispatched a disaster relief team toward ground zero of the hurricane’s aftermath.
Isaac is now predicted to make landfall in Louisianna or Mississippi in the next 24 hours as a Catagory 2 Hurricane. The storm's impact will be widespread with expected flooding and wind damage.
The Mercy Chefs team is on their way toward the region to wait out the storm and prepare for service.
On Wednesday, Chef Gary LeBlanc plans to have their mobile kitchen set up and feeding those people hardest hit. For communities ravaged by a natural disaster, time is of the essence.
Mercy Chefs will provide hundreds of hot meals to victims and volunteers every day as needed to cope with the disaster.
Their immediate need is to obtain the food and supplies needed to provide these hot meals.
