'Creating Artificial Personalities' (An Evolutionary Step Toward Replacing the Human Species?)
Nov. 20, 2009 (August 19, 2009) We can now engineer entirely artificial personalities, and we don't mean your-kid-for-cash strategies like Hannah Montana. Scientists have now evolved artificial personalities based on simulated genetic algorithms. Meaning they're only one good synthetic-skin invention from getting rid of our species altogether. A research collaboration between Samsung and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has created a virtual puppy, Rity, a computerized creature whose every action is guided by a simulated personality system.. » read more

Mysterious Sun Gate ‘Time Wave’ Blacks Out South America
Nov. 13, 2009 An interesting report circulating in the Kremlin today is claiming that the massive power blackout that hit South America this past week was due to a ‘Time Wave’ that emanated from the mysterious Bolivian Andes region called Tiahuanaco where the mysterious 10 ton “Gateway of the Sun” monolithic (carved from a single block of Andesite granite) [photo top left] is located and was ‘triggered’ by an ‘anomalous event’ at the World's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator, Large Hadron Collider (LHC) [photo 2nd left], in Switzerland run by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and ‘rippled through’ the thousands of ancient pyramid complexes located throughout Brazil and other countries of South America. [Note: Time Waves as refereed to in these reports are more commonly known in the Western World as gravitational waves which are fluctuations in the curvature of spacetime.] According to these reports, the CERN scientists at the Large Hadron Collider began a series of experiments on November 1st (2009) in preparation for the restarting of operations when they “shockingly” discovered that their testing was distorting our Earth’s magnetic field and had “shot off” a “Time Wave” towards the core of our Planet that their tracking showed “veered exactly” towards the ‘Sun Gate’ high in the Bolivian Andes Mountains. Most unfortunately, however, was when the initial ‘Time Wave’ spawned by the LHC ‘erupted’ from the ‘Sun Gate’ and headed out towards the space above South America it (literally) ‘glanced into’ the path of an Iberworld Airbus A330-300 flown by Air Comet which was ready to begin its descent into Santa Cruz, Bolivia but then found itself ‘instantly and mysteriously’ over the skies of Santa Cruz, Spain over 5,500 miles (8,900 km) away.. » read more
The Untapped Energy Riches of Uzbekistan
Nov. 12, 2009 While many Western investors remain fixated on somehow acquiring a slice of Turkmenistan’s natural gas riches, despite a recent scandal over the country’s actual reserves, there is another country further east whose energy and mineralogical reserves have been overlooked – Uzbekistan. While a number of factors are responsible for this oversight, including relative geographical isolation (Uzbekistan, along with Liechtenstein, is one of the world’s doubly landlocked nations, requiring crossing two other nations to gain access to the oceans), which currently limits energy exports available for the global market, there are a number of pluses that the country has for investors willing to “think outside the box.” With a population of 27 million, Uzbekistan is Central Asia's most populous and dominant power. A conservative fiscal policy since 1991, including inconvertibility of the national currency, the som, has shielded its citizens from the hyperinflation that ravaged other former Soviet republics, but the policy previously diminished potential foreign investment.. » read more
GROWING ORGANS IN THE LAB (with video)
Nov. 12, 2009 (June 8, 2009) Why transplant an organ when you can grow yourself a new one? A homegrown bladder (Photo courtesy of BBC) This research isn’t something that might happen in the distant future. It’s being used today to grow fresh organs, open up new ways to study disease and the immune system, and reduce the need for organ transplants. Organ-farming laboratories are popping up across the planet, and showing impressive results. Here we look at the state of the union of a rapidly advancing field called tissue engineering: what’s been accomplished so far, and what’s right around the corner.. » read more
You Had Better Sit Down
----- Original Message ----- From: DJ To: Bellringer Sent: Tuesday, November 10, 2009 12:41 AM Subject: You Had Better Sit Down This came from Canada - pretty interesting! Here's an interesting read, important and verifiable information : About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest. The host said to Forbes, "I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground?" Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, "more than all the Middle East put together.. » read more

The Secret of American Innovation Is Traced to Greece
Nov. 10, 2009 The United States is a world class economic and national security power because of the creativity of its people. American citizens and immigrants are from all over the world, and some of the greatest inventors came to the United States because of the attraction of freedom for their ideas. Our Constitution is the only national document in the world giving protection to writers and inventors to the "right" for the exclusive use of their work for a certain period of time. We owe a great deal to ancient Greece for these ideas.. » read more
