GET READY: They're back . . .

Today, senators are back, and one of their top priorities is to pass a bill that will force all states to honor same-sex, child-bride, pedophile and any other perverted “marriages.”

HR 8404 will also allow one state to impose incestuous and polygamous marriage on the nation.

If government officials or employees dare to speak up or oppose the government agenda, they will face lawsuits. This is an incredible attack on free speech, the family and America!

The bill should actually be called the “Disrespect for Marriage Act.” It will harm children.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) wants to pass this bill in the Senate as soon as possible. He only needs six more votes.

The Senate is our last opportunity to stop HR 8404. Rush urgent faxes to the Senate against HR 8404. — Mat

A mother and a father are foundational to a child’s well-being. The stories below are tragic. This is not a temporary setback for these children. It is an attack on the very foundation of who they are and how successful they will be in their future relationships.

  • “I’m 28 years old. I found out my father was gay when I was 13 … but lately I feel so angry. Or maybe confused. I fear that this confusion is coloring my own relationships (I’m straight, and tend to go from one bad relationship to the next).”

  • “I’ve just turned 18 and three years ago stumbled across hundreds of incriminating files [of homosexuality] on my dad’s computer. … I was an extremely happy straight A student until this point and my rather strict parents punished me for suddenly falling behind at school … which made my grades drop further. I was going to become a doctor but didn’t get the grades I knew I could have. I … am in an absolute state of desperation. … [A]t home I can barely speak a sentence to my parents.”

Yet on this same website, adults are publicly fantasizing about discussing their homosexual conduct with their own children, children in their extended family or others at their children’s school!

Some of these children are young, even less than 4 years old! And yet even the teens above were unable to deal with the burden of this information.

Our government should be reducing this kind of harm to children, not encouraging and augmenting it! Tell our senators to STOP HR 8404 with your urgent faxes to their desks now.

Heather Barwick and Katy Faust were each raised by two lesbians. In 2015, they shared their story in an amicus brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court in which they urged the Justices to not rule in favor of same-sex marriage.

Heather and Katy wrote that “every child is born to a mother and father and that children have a natural right to a relationship with both parents. Children suffer emotional harm when they lose a relationship with one or both parents, which is categorically the case when they are raised by a same-sex couple.”

Marriage is much more than two consenting people living together. Marriage is the foundation of family, and family is the foundation of society.

Heather and Katy continue: “Most heterosexual marriages produce children. No homosexual marriages produce children. When it comes to procreation and childrearing, the two are intrinsically different.” When the Supreme Court ruled against natural marriage, it ruled against children.

Same-sex marriage has consequences for children and society. Children fare best when raised by a mother and a father. Gender does matter to the development and well-being of children.

Mark my word, the Supreme Court’s 2015 5-4 same-sex marriage opinion will be overturned. That is why Senate Democrats and a couple Republicans want desperately to pass a bill that will impose same-sex marriage by federal law.

Congress usually destroys everything it touches. Now we must stop them from messing up marriage and children. Help block this bill. Send your faxes to the Senate urging them to stop HR 8404 from attacking marriage and overriding states’ rights.

Make no mistake. The goal of this bill is to abolish marriage by deconstructing it. We urgently need to stand in the gap for our nation now.

There used to be five senators who were willing to support this “marriage” bill. But one senator just changed his mind. Ron Johnson (R-WI) first said he had no reason to vote against this bill. But we gave him lots of reasons, and now Sen. Johnson is recognizing the glaring lack of religious exemptions in this bill and the things this bill will force people to affirm and recognize.

What is even more exciting is that Sen. Johnson was using Liberty Counsel Action’s talking points on this bill as he signaled his change of heart to reporters! Your faxes and our in-person meetings are making a difference!

When this bill passed the House, 47 Republicans voted for it. But now, our staff is hearing that some already regret their vote. Now that the bill is in the Senate, we need to urge every lawmaker to block it.

The Senate is back TODAY and Schumer wants to pass HR 8404 soon. Let’s stop him.
