Today, President Trump's team started their legal defense in earnest.

At the same time, the New York Times broke a "news" story without a single named source for the leak, no evidence, and it didn't even provide a single quote from the book in question. The NYT's thin claim was that its "sources" alleged the former National Security Advisor John Bolton will say that President Trump tied Ukrainian aid to an investigation into the Bidens.

But, the NYT's writers have not read the book draft. And these same writers have been proven wrong on other matters.

Trump had strong words in reply today, saying "I NEVER told John Bolton that the aid to Ukraine was tied to investigations into Democrats, including the Bidens ... Additionally, I released the military aid to Ukraine without any conditions or investigations – and far ahead of schedule ... My Administration has done far more than the previous Administration."

Radicals have been on a witch hunt for years. It's time to end this now. But five Republican Senators are waffling. They are considering siding with Democrats to allow more one-sided investigation. I urge you to make your voice heard on Capitol Hill on this issue.

Join me in demanding that we put an end to this ongoing sham that is shredding the Constitution.

Democrats want you to believe two opposite things at the same time. On one hand, they claim they have "overwhelming" evidence. On the other hand, they claim they need more. House managers walked into the Senate falsely claiming that there was a "mountain of evidence" of guilt that was "undisputed."

Then they switched and began begging and pleading to bring more people in to testify against President Trump. And this is after they had just abandoned the proper path to bring in witnesses (through the courts). And then they claimed that President Trump was "obstructing" Congress for going through the proper channels to resolve conflicts between our two branches of government.

This is a sham trial. Now is the time to push these legislators to stand strong in the face of false accusation after false accusation.

As we approach the State of the Union Address scheduled for next week, now is the time to put this chapter behind us. If you haven't already, sign our petition to have your name given to our President with a note of encouragement in the face of these attacks against him.
