Al Jazeera buys Gore’s TV network

Current TV, co-founded by Al Gore, has been sold to Al Jazeera, which hopes with this deal to increase its penetration into the American market. It’s no secret that Current TV has struggled for years to gain viewers and any traction in the marketplace.

This is the same Al Jazeera owned by the government of Qatar, whose Arabic channel was trusted by Osama bin Laden to get out his videos and other statements.

Gore looks to be making $100 million on the deal, which is great for his pocketbook but bad for America.

Brigitte Gabriel appeared on Hannity this past Friday to discuss Al Jazeera and this impending sale.
