UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced he contracted Coronavirus making him the first leader of the first world to have Corona Virus.
After developing mild symptoms over a 24 hour period, Johnson took a Covid-19 test at the direction of the UK’s Chief Medical Officer, he announced on Twitter.
ohnson said he will be self-isolating at home as he continues to work on the United Kingdom’s behalf. He will continue leading their Corona Virus response via video conference.
For a majority of Trump’s first term in the White House, Johnson was perceived as one of the President’s closest international allies. Trump has labeled Johnson as “Britain Trump” and a “good man” in the past.
However, recently there has been growing distance in their relationship largely due to differences on trade, Iran, Huawei, and international taxation of American firms.
