On Thursday morning in Jerusalem, at least 14 people were wounded, including what medics stated was a “youth in his twenties who was a serious condition, unconscious and suffering major trauma,” after what appeared to be a car-ramming terror attack in central Jerusalem.

The Times of Israel reported, “The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. near Jerusalem’s First Station, a popular entertainment hub. Police said the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene and a large force of officers were carrying out searches.’” One medic stated, “When we arrived at the scene we saw chaos, three youths were lying on the sidewalk, and nearby 9 others were gathered who had been hurt.”

The incident followed a statement from the Hamas terror group on Wednesday on their official website that read: “We call for escalating confrontations with the occupation and its settlers and fighting their assaults against the land and holy sites, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli Defense Forces stated on Wednesday, “For the past few days, violent riots have taken place in Hebron, near the Jewish settlement, with dozens of Palestinians taking part, throwing stones, burning tires and hurling Molotov cocktails at IDF troops and security forces.”

On Monday, Bassam Abu Sharif, who served as an advisor to arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat when Arafat ran the Palestinian Authority, stated, as MEMRI translated, “Our people are facing deportation and we must lay siege [to them].

We should lay siege to the Israelis. This way we can defend ourselves with our bodies – with our bodies, not with weapons. Our obligation is to offensively defend ourselves against anyone who tries to attack us. We can bring a million volunteers from Pakistan to defend Jerusalem. I saw with my own eyes how the Pakistanis surrounded Arafat’s car, shouting: ‘Jerusalem! Jerusalem!'”

Khaled Al-Batsh, a leader in Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said:

Once again, I say to my folk in Yemen: We will never negotiate over our land.

We will never bargain over our Jerusalem. We will never disgrace ourselves when it comes to our land and our religion, even if our heads are blown off like the head of the martyr Baha Abu Al-Ata in Gaza or the head of the martyr Qasem Soleimani in Iraq, and the heads of many other martyrs in the region, who confronted the American and Zionist arrogance.

I call upon the sons of the Islamic nation everywhere to besiege American embassies and consulates everywhere, and to besiege the embassies and consulates of the Zionist enemy wherever it is possible so that these dens of spies and collaborators are isolated.

I also call upon the peoples of the countries whose representatives attended the announcement of the “Deal of Shame” to disavow [these representatives] as a popular message of support for us.

To the regimes that hesitate in their rejection [of the deal].

To the regimes that hesitate in their rejection [of the deal] and recite the text prepared by Pompeo in the American State Department, I say: History will not spare you. You should have sent your armies to recapture Jerusalem. You should have sent your tanks to liberate it. Since you have failed to do so – be quiet. It is better for you to stay silent than to talk.

Palestinian leader Abbas says he is cutting ties with United States and Israel over peace deal

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said he is cutting security ties with Israel and the U.S. on Saturday, in reaction to a U.S.

-brokered peace plan that immediately met with furious objections from the Palestinians.

Abbas said he told Israel and the U.

S. that “there will be no relations with them, including the security ties" following the deal that Palestinians say heavily favors the Israelis. He also said he will refuse to take President Trump’s phone calls “because I know that he would use that to say he consulted with us.”

“I will never accept this solution," Abbas said. “I will not have it recorded in my history that I have sold Jerusalem."

The furious reaction by Abbas came during a speech at an Arab League meeting in Cairo, Egypt that denounced the plan -- and poured cold water on the plan’s chances.

The plan was unveiled by President Trump on Tuesday and calls for a two-state solution -- with the creation of a future state of Palestine in Gaza, parts of the West Bank and neighborhoods on the outskirts of Jerusalem.

The White House has called it “the most serious, realistic, and detailed plan ever presented, one that could make Israelis, Palestinians, and the region safer and more prosperous.”

“If the Palestinians have concerns with this Vision, they should bring them forth in the context of good-faith negotiations with the Israelis and help make progress for the region,” it said.

The plan would require the Palestinians to meet certain benchmarks -- rooting out terrorism, stopping "pay to slay," implementing steps toward free speech and political reforms.

It also calls for the creation of a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem and for more than doubling the amount of territory the Palestinians control.

The plan also includes land swaps, a demilitarized Palestinian state, Israeli power over security as well as a demand for Israel to halt the construction of any new settlements. It also would abolish the “right of return” for Palestinians into Israel.

Controversially for Palestinians, it would allow Israel to annex settlements in the West Bank, which the Palestinians have long contended to be illegal.

Critics also say that Israel's control over borders, airspace, and security means that Palestinian statehood would lose its meaning.

But Abbas said the Palestinians wouldn’t accept the U.S. as the sole mediator, instead, saying they want to go to the world and other regional organizations such as the U.N. Security Council.

The speech came after Palestinian militants fired three rockets into Israel, triggering airstrikes from Israel on militant targets in Gaza in response.
