The War On Terrorism And History Of Lies
By Rev. Doktor C. Sarian
The destruction of the Trade Towers in New York has been compared to the Japanese assault on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Indeed there are many parallels, though most are unrecognized. As in Pearl Harbor, the attack in New York was a response to provocations against non Americans perpetrated by the U.S. As in Pearl Harbor, the U.S. high command had ample warning the attacks were coming. As in Pearl Harbor thousands of Americans perished on U.S. soil (though in 1941, Hawaii was not a state, having been seized by the U.S. less than fifty years previously). As in Pearl Harbor, no crippling damage was done to the U.S. government establishment, because in both instances key elements were warned away from ground zero previous to the attacks. As was the case in Pearl Harbor, the attack on the Trade Towers provided a welcome excuse to carry out aggression against other nations that controlled important strategic assets the U.S. wished to seize.
There are parallels with the Murrah building too. Military experts have asserted the fertilizer bomb in a truck couldn't possibly have caused the damage, even had its size exceeded the official exagerration ten times. Bomb squads were on hand prior to the attack. Numerous sources reported additional charges needed defusing, and that Middle Eastern men were seen prior to the bombing. The offices of the ATF were the alleged target - no ATF officers were in those offices, though present heavily armed immediately after the blasts. The alleged perpetrator's actions were inconsistant with guilt, the government witheld thousands of pages of evidence from the defense, and government officials promulgated lies about the event, some of which had to be subsequently retracted.
Unknown History
The real reasons the attack on Pearl Harbor was allowed to proceed despite forewarnings was to galvanize a divided country in support of entering yet another European war and to protect the secret fact that U.S. "intelligence" had broken the Japanese "Purple" diplomatic code - the thousands of decoded messages had provided the forewarnings. If U.S. military forces had been prepared to repel the Japanese task force attacking Pearl Harbor, the Japanese high command would have known the code was broken and would have changed it, setting U.S. "military intelligence" back months if not years. Several obsolete battleships, 2500 American servicemen and uncounted civilians were deliberately sacrificed in order to embroil the U.S. in war and to protect official secrets. On 9/11, 3000 civilians were sacrificed for identical reasons by the George Bush administration.
In general people wish to avoid war, but in the event of an attack on their persons or property, concede the need to retaliate. Therefore in order to instigate warlike action without unstaunchable public resistance, governments find it necessary to provide plausible incidents to justify and rally support for those warlike actions. The Trade Towers attack fit the bill nicely, and was in the tradition of the phony attacks on the U.S. destroyers Turner and Maddox in the Gulf of Tonkin incident that embroiled the U.S. in wider and deeper war in Viet Nam. Here's one that didn't work - Operation Northwoods. In the early nineteen sixties, the Washington government was outraged that the "friendly" Batista government in Cuba had been overthrown by a handful of rag tag peasants whom they dubbed "communists", and desired to restore corporate control over what had been a productive profit pit and playground in the Caribbean. Once again a pretext was needed, so the Department of "Defense" prepared a plan to detail an F-86 jet fighter as a MIG, paint it with Cuban markings and send it to shoot down a charter flight full of students on their way to Venezuela. Such a provocation would surely have been sufficient to rally the entire U.S. for a retaliatory war against the fledgling island republic. The plan was nixed by more sensible minds in the White House. Another plan to simply invade Cuba with surrogate expat troops failed when then president Kennedy refused to permit the full weight of regular U.S. Air Force units to support the invasion, which subsequently failed to effect regime change in revolutionary Cuba. President Kennedy knew someone would have to bear the blame, and he chose the commanding general, whose brother happened to be mayor of Dallas where shortly thereafter Mr. Kennedy had his hat size changed. What would America look like today had Dallas's finest not been told to stand down from their normal duties of policing the parade route?
Pearl Harbor as pretext for war has been cited already. The clothing of prisoners' corpses in Czech uniforms by Hitler's agents precipitated the Sudentenland "crisis" that propelled Europe over the brink of war in 1939, just as the self inflicted Riechstag fire had propelled Hitler to power in 1933. The torpedoing of the Lusitania caused an isolationist U.S. to participate in the Great War, though the vessel was actually sunk by secondary explosions of the 700 tons of illicit munitions the disguised warship was carrying, escorts had been called off just prior to her steaming into a known area of recent U-Boat activity, and firm warnings of the danger of a torpedo attack were issued by the German embassy though not made available to hapless passengers. The sinking of the Maine, an obsolete battleship carrying "Big Stick" diplomacy in Havana Harbor, provided plausibility for attacks by the U.S. on Spain's "possessions" around the world. Though initially blamed on Spanish aggression, the sinking was later determined to have been caused by an internal explosion. Accident? or sabotage? What does it matter? as long as people support warlike action on the part of their government.
New War
On the twentieth of March 2003, newspapers throughout the United States carried the headline WAR! as if it were something new. Even leftist peaceniks played along with the party line that war started on 032003. They should have known better because there had been more than 130 airstrikes against installations within Iraqi terrority since the previous November, and thousands since the "end" of Gulf War I. It is a little acknowledged fact that the U.S. has been in a continual state of war since about 1898, when the U.S. attacked Spanish holdings its administraitors and their pals coveted, and sporadically previously since its Declaration of Independance in 1776. Even during the brief periods when large units of U.S. troops were not actively engaged in killing and dying, secret agents operating on behalf of and at the behest of various U.S. administrations and corporations have waged unrelenting war against the world's poor, colored, or heathen peoples by intimidation, humiliation and assassination of their informed, outspoken and courageous individuals, as well as destruction of their infrastructure and culture.
Oddly enough though, despite recent military incursions into dozens of countries around the globe, the U.S. has not been involved in a real, that is to say, legally authorized war since the "defeat" of fascist forces in 1945. It is a commonly held notion that waging war is the duty of governments, but governments routinely abdicate that authority, instead delegating it to single plenipotentiary individuals to exercise at their sole discretion. Why do freedom and peace loving people allow warlike activity on the part of their representative governments in the absence of legal war ratified by their elected representatives?
Where's the smoking gun?
The chickenhawks in Washington have been screaming incessantly about having proof that Osama did it, that Arabs flew planes into the buildings, that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, that nothing could have been done, that more attacks are imminent, and by in large that there are logical reasons for their bellicose and paranoid behavior. But they won't allow any of the evidence to be seen by anyone. National security is the threadbare excuse for maintaining secrets that would, if revealed, actually bolster the nation's credibility and thereby security. But the Bush administration has quashed serious investigation into any of the events that goaded the American public into supporting the march to war. Panels have been left unfunded, kiss and tell agents have been disciplined, and all the forensic evidence at the sites of various disasters from Oklahoma to Washington to Pennsylvania to New York was bulldozed and hauled away without delay. The steel from the towers has already been sold to scrap salvagers in third world countries, with no evidenciary trail, no laboratory analysis and no question by the corporate controlled media or Congress. In the same way, hours of interrogation of Lee Harvey Oswald after the Dallas shooting were unrecorded, undocumented, unexamined, unquestioned. The mysterious movements of the alleged hijackers who seem to have faded unseen in and out of secure areas like wraiths while leaving a trail of copies of the Quoran like a bunch of Islamist Giddeons, their ties to government agencies, their multiple identities, are strongly reminiscent of the the inscrutable activities and associations of the possible Oswalds in 1962-1963. The bizarre appearance of an unburnt passport in the street and subsequent reports that many of the alleged hijackers are still alive coupled with the strange stories about their flight "training" and non Islamic presuicide philanderings, smack of deliberate patsyism. Every successful assassination requires a patsy to divert attention from escaping perpetrators. The one cogent remark made by Lee Harvey before he was assassinated in turn was I didn't kill anybody. I am a patsy.
