Community Rights educator Paul Cienfuegos explains how "We The People" are exercising the authority to govern ourselves and dismantle corporate rule. When small farmers in rural Pennsylvania wanted to say "no" to a corporate factory farm coming into their community, they learned they couldn't, because it would violate the corporation's "rights" and state pre-emption laws. So they did something technically illegal - their town passed an innovative ordinance banning corporate factory farming. It worked! The corporation left town. Pittsburgh upshifted the approach: Rather than define what we don't want, define what we DO want. Their "Right to Water" stopped natural gas fracking in the city. NOTE: Under the Constitution of the Republic of the united States of America the people living in the local township hold the initial authority to create law. Once the people of the township have passed a law, they must send it to the Count Commissioners of their county, who have the lawful responsibility to accept that law and to declare such law is lawfully binding on all parties concerned.
The sheriff of the county is elected by the people of the county, and under our Republic has the highest authority of all law enforcement people. His duty is to enforce the laws made by the people of his county, and to insure their safety and welfare. He holds authority over all state and federal officials, who may enter his county, and who may try to enforce their laws, which may not be acceptable to the people of his county. Thus, he shall not enforce such laws and he may arrest and imprison those state and federal officials, who do not comply with his order to cease and desist and leave his county.
Many rural areas in the Midwest have been for years following this lawful procedure to control their own destiny. I know this from my experience of serving as a townboard supervisor in rural Minnesota. I am surprised that Paul Cienfuegos seems not to be aware of the lawful power of the township in America.
