WHITE HOUSE: NO IDEA WHY AMERICANS ARE BUYING SO MANY GUNS

Smaller Font Larger Font RSS 2.0

Dec. 13, 2015

Dear President Clueless

We are buying lots of guns to protect our homes and loved ones from crime in an age when the average response time to a 9-11 runs from 15 to 22 minutes. We therefore keep guns in our homes for the same reason we keep fire extinguishers. >We are buying lots of guns to protect our homes and loved ones from crime in an age when the police are stealing more of our property than the burglars, and you are 8 times more likely to be wrongfully murdered by a cop than a terrorist.

We are buying lots of guns to put food on the table when this ponzi-scheme private central bank economy implodes, which appears imminent, and to protect our food from those Americans who trusted the government and failed to prepare for the government's failures.

We The People are wondering why you think guns are bad when the US Government gives guns to Mexican Drug Criminals (through Fast And Furious) and provides weapons to ISIS and Al Qaeda.

But in the end it is not your job to question why we are buying guns. The Second Amendment makes it clear that this is out of your jurisdiction. The Constitution is the original contract with America. That you and your associates in Sodom on the Potomac have violated that contract is another reason We The People are buying guns! Because that Second Amendment is not about hunting, or home protection, or target shooting.

"[I]f circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude, that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their rights and those of their fellow citizens." -- The Federalist, No. 29 -- Alexander Hamilton

"... of the liberty of conscience in matters of religious faith, of speech and of the press; of the trail by jury of the vicinage in civil and criminal cases; of the benefit of the writ of habeas corpus; of the right to keep and bear arms.... If these rights are well defined, and secured against encroachment, it is impossible that government should ever degenerate into tyranny." -- James Monroe

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselv - against tyranny in government." (Thomas Jefferson Papers p. 334, 1950) ~Mike Rivero
