Donald Trump

Attorney General Jeff Sessions career is on the rocks.

President Trump has lost all faith in him.

But in one interview, Trump said the four words about Sessions that no one saw coming.

Donald Trump Reveals Sessions Job Status

President Trump sat for a 45-minute interview with TheHill.Tv.

The interviewers asked about his relationship with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

That is when Trump let loose.

He said, “I have no Attorney General.”

The Hill reports on their exclusive interview:

President Trump in Oval Office interview with Hill.Tv launched his most ferocious broadsides to date against Jeff Sessions, suggesting the attorney general was essentially AWOL and performing badly on a variety of issues.

“I don’t have an attorney general. It’s very sad,” Trump told Hill.TV in an extensive and freewheeling interview Tuesday from the Oval Office.

The president has long excoriated Sessions for his March 2017 decision to recuse himself from the Russia collusion investigation. But on Tuesday he suggested he is frustrated by Sessions’s performance on far more than that.

“I’m not happy at the border, I’m not happy with numerous things, not just this,” he said.

Trump Admits He Lost Faith Early

In the interview, Trump also revealed he lost faith in Sessions early on.

But he said he stuck by him out of loyalty.

Sessions was the first Senator who endorsed him.

Therefore, Trump believed he owed it to Sessions to stand by him despite his early errors.

The Hill.Tv reported:

Trump suggested he had a personal blind spot when it came to nominating Sessions as the nation’s top law enforcement officer.

“I’m so sad over Jeff Sessions because he came to me. He was the first senator that endorsed me. And he wanted to be attorney general, and I didn’t see it,” he said.

“And then he went through the nominating process and he did very poorly. I mean, he was mixed up and confused, and people that worked with him for, you know, a long time in the Senate were not nice to him, but he was giving very confusing answers. Answers that should have been easily answered. And that was a rough time for him.”

Sessions Fate

At this point, it is only a matter of “when” and not “if” Trump fires Sessions.

Some Trump supporters like Ann Coulter still stand by Sessions.

They say he put Trump’s immigration crackdown in place.

Coulter and others also believe the Senate will never confirm another Attorney General who is as tough on immigration as Sessions.

But many others agree with Trump.

They see Sessions recusing himself in the Russian investigation as a cardinal sin.

His weakness allowed the Deep State to unleash Robert Mueller on Trump.

And now Trump’s entire Presidency is at risk.

Had Sessions acted like Eric Holder, the Russia hoax would have died a slow death.

And that is why Trump is likely to fire Sessions.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
