The Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee were gleeful Friday when they got assurances of a week delay on the the full Senate vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.

It’s because their strategy is to investigate.

Then reject.

That’s according to Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn.

“Yes, of course there should be an FBI investigation. But whatever they find doesn’t change the fact that Kavanaugh, especially after his performance yesterday, is the most dangerous Supreme Court pick of our lifetime.”

The Twitter comment drew a wide range of reactions.

“Need an FBI investigation into the crimes committed by @SenFeinstein and her staff,” wrote GayPatriotTM.

And Rogaine Is Ineffective, said: “It’s gonna be LIT when some crazy rando comes out making false accusations against YOU without any evidence or corroborating witnesses. Cause I’m gonna ‘believe her.'”

A Twitchy blogger commented: “Shocker!”

“With some help from Republicans Sens. Jeff Flake and Lisa Murkowski, Democrats might have managed to push a full Senate vote back a week in order for an investigation into allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.
