Skolnick is now reporting 28 indictments

Sherman Skolnick from the cloakanddagger.de web site is now reporting there are now 28 indictments and not 22 that have been handed over to US Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez from Patrick Fitzgerald. At this time, Bush is choosing to reject the indictments outright. Monday may well be a very wild day. Stay tuned!

THE GANGS OF NEW YORK.

Eddie Hayes, my consigliore and co-host, who is also co host of Court TV's "Cutler & Hayes." Tells me that U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, special prosecutor in the Plame leak case, is a fierce, broad-shouldered, honest, heroic, hard-nosed kid from the legendary neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, a self-made Harvard man, son of a doorman, devoted to his family, his honor, his oaths of office, the law. This is the hero you want to fight beside when the Visigoths are at the Tiber River. Fitz's boos at Justice, says Eddie, Deputy Attorney General of the Criminal Division Steve [James B.] Comey, is the same sort of neighborhood gang kid, scrupulous, tireless, fearless, clear-eyed for the law. Eddie and his pal Bruce Cutler also rose fomr the neighborhoods, Eddie working homicide in the wild west 1970s for the Bronx DA, Bruce working homicide in the same shoot-first years for the Brooklyn DA before Bruce took a walk with the villains as a consigliore for La Cosa Nostra's Gottis.

These four all-grown- up New York kids are now working justice from the same side of the street, Fitz and Comey silent on the Plame case until they tell all, Hayes and Cutler with cold-eyed versions of the story so far on Court TV. You are advised not to get out front of them unless you aim to take their photo or surrender. The law is coming, and it's the law of the gangs of New York, and it doesn't flinch from a fight. Whatever happens, remember the record. For four centuries the gangs of New York are undefeated, once out of the Wall Street to man the patriot cause and outfight the redcoats, then out of Five Points to man City Hall and outlast Albany, then out of the White Houses of TR and FDR to man the fleet and the battalions and to bloody the bad guys from Beijing to Berlin. The gangs of New York.

You are warned, gangs of Texas: this is the moment to wet your lips, be prepared to use that weapon of yours about two seconds after it clears the holster.
