TURNER FILES CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST PROTESTER
Former Jersey City Councilman facing Assault and Harassment Charges

North Bergen, NJ -- Talk radio host Hal Turner has filed criminal complaints against former Jersey City Councilman Jaime Vazquez in connection with Vazquez’ protest at Turner’s home Wednesday, April 12.
The charges filed against Vazquez are Assault in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1A(1) and Harassment in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-4A.
On April 12, Vasquez appeared at Turner’s home on Paterson Plank Road in North Bergen to protest the controversial radio host over remarks printed in a Jersey Journal newspaper story.
While at Turner’s home, Vazquez harassed Turner by cursing him as a racist scumbag and mother fucking bigot. When Turner told Vazquez to leave, Vazquez refused and assaulted Turner by shoving him.
Turner defended himself by putting Vazquez down into the gutter at curbside. Vazquez was removed by ambulance.
"Folks who don't like my radio show should not listen to it. and folks who don't like my web site should not visit it." said Turner. "Coming to my house to cause trouble or to attack me will not go unconfronted." he continued.
Vazquez is summoned to appear in North Bergen Municipal Court on May 1, 2006. The case is styled “State of New Jersey v. Jamie Vazquez” the complaint Number is S-2006-000381-090 stemming from North Bergen Police Report # 6018631
