AG Barr Stands Up To Overbearing States – Says His Justice Department Could Support Citizens That Sue Burdensome States

Many states implemented measures to prevent the spread of the virus. But it’s no secret others went too far.
Some (Democrat-controlled) states have come down hard on free citizens. They have outlawed visiting family or friends. Other mayors (like NYC’s de Blasio) are encouraging residents to rat out their neighbors.
Attorney General Barr has had enough.And he is giving hope to citizens who think they should sue their states.

Attorney General Bill Barr took a clear swipe Tuesday at state restrictions on citizens during the coronavirus pandemic, indicating not only that people could sue over measures that go too far but that the Justice Department could end up siding with them against the states.
Way to lay the smackdown, Barr! The AG confronted states who have imposed strict (arguably un-Constitutional) orders on American citizens.
Not only did he say that people could sue their state, but his DOJ just might side with them!
This isn’t just talk. The DOJ sided with a church after it sued their city. The Mississippi city actually fined churchgoers $500 for attending a drive-in Easter service.
After the DOJ got involved, the city backed down.
We’ve seen a shocking trend among many local and state leaders. Claiming they are trying to keep us “safe,” they’ve issued orders that would have made Orwell faint in shock.
Other citizens have already prepared lawsuits. I wouldn’t be surprised if more are on the way.
From coast to coast, citizens are protesting to reopen the country. While some governors are making plans to do just that, others are extending their forced lockdowns.
Now that Barr is siding with Americans, don’t be surprised to see a flood of lawsuits in the coming weeks and months.
We all need to be safe from a deadly disease. But has the “cure” become worse than the problem? Are we losing our liberties in the name of “flattening the curve”?
