  • Impeachment is ramping up and things are getting heated in Washington as the stakes are raised. The Democrats are finally sending the articles of impeachment over to the Senate and they have selected their impeachment managers. With all these components moving so fast, here are the 7 things that you need to know moving forward:

    1.) McConnell’s Plan

Mitch McConnell has a plan for the trial and it is not going to be good for Democrats, he is likely to make the trial as painful for democrats as he possibly can. Remember that McConnell is the one who has full control over what goes on at this event.

2.) Trail Will Likely Go Past SOTU

This trial will likely go on for some time, while many would like to see McConnel just get a vote through to clear Trump of any wrongdoing it is a better political move to make this blow up in the faces of the Democrats. Democrats will likely see the trial interrupt not only Trump’s State of the Union address but also their Iowa Primary Caucus.

3.) Senators Will Change The Game

This trial will run in the same way as Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing in the sense that there will be a lot of politics and grandstanding from various Senators. Some Senators will likely do more damage than others but one thing is for sure, everybody will have something to say at this impeachment trial.

    4.) Witnesses

The debate over witnesses still rages on but one thing is for sure here, if witness roll into the Senate trial it will be a total disaster for the Democrats. While some witnesses are wild cards, namely John Bolton, others are sure to wreck Democrats. Rand Paul suggested that he would bring Hunter Biden to the event, the young Biden would be sure to wreck his dad's Presidential campaign.

    5.) Media Changes

The Media will face a lot of scrutiny during the trial, unfair reporting would be called out by the President and his cohorts, honest reporting would be struck down by Democrats as they try to save face, and for some witnesses, the Media may not even be allowed to be present. Whatever is to happen the media is sure to be reigned in by the Senate.

6.) Democrats Face Off With Trump

This will be one of the few times that the Democrats get to really square off with Trump, usually, the debate between the two happens through sets of intermediaries but now the connection will be very close and anything could happen as a result. The Democrats will definitely be able to take some below the belt jabs in the Senate Trial.

7.) Trump Will Remain In Office

At the end of the day, this whole ordeal feels like a bad movie, we all already know what the outcome will look like. There is almost no chance that Trump is going anywhere, he will likely remain in office and continue his term(and likely take home the next term as well). Every day the impeachment of President Trump looks more and more like a total miscalculation by the Democrats.
