In what President Trump’s attorneys consider a good sign, Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller wants a meeting with the Trump team.

What took so long? For Mueller, the jig is up.

He’s lucky this is a government lawsuit, or you can bet President Trump would OWN Mueller and three generations of Muellers.

As CNN reported,

President Donald Trump’s private lawyers are slated to meet with special counsel Robert Mueller and members of his team as soon as next week for what the President’s team considers an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of the next steps in Mueller’s probe, according to sources familiar with the matter.

While the lawyers have met with Mueller’s team before and might again, the sources believe the upcoming meeting has greater significance because it comes after the completion of interviews of White House personnel requested by the special counsel and after all requested documents have been turned over. Mueller could still request more documents and additional interviews. No request to interview the President or the vice president has been made, sources tell CNN.

But Trump’s team, led by John Dowd and Jay Sekulow, is hoping for signs that Mueller’s investigation is nearing its end, or at least the part having to do with the President. Their goal is to help Trump begin to emerge from the cloud of the ongoing investigation, several of the sources explained. The sources acknowledge that Mueller is under no obligation to provide any information and concede they may walk away with no greater clarity.

Who wouldn’t pay $39.95 to see this meeting on Pay Per View? I certainly would. And you can bet that the showman in Trump would love to make it happen.

A couple of things you should know about the meeting.

First, President Trump exudes the confidence of an innocent man, who has grabbed the Left by its p*ssy!

Second, Mueller won’t be able to leak anything, because he knows Trump’s team will be prepared to counter.

Third, Mueller has NO bargaining position whatsoever.\

As I wrote earlier, President Trump has not interfered in any aspect of this investigation:

Is President Trump circling the wagons around Manafort? No.

Is there some vast conspiracy by the Trump administration to cover-up for whatever Manafort has done?

And what of Flynn? Did the president intervene in any way in the investigation of him? Of course not.

Only in the last day or so has the president hinted at pardoning Flynn who has been undoubtedly railroaded.

But look at the cover-up by the Clintons, and perhaps worse Obama.

Enter Peter Strzok. The minion doing all the dirty-work on behalf of the FBI and specifically James Comey. I wrote of the tortuous explanation by Comey of why he couldn’t indict Hillary Clinton, and it was Strzok who changed the language. However the plot recently thickened, when we learned how much more they did.

As Fox News reported,

Newly released documents obtained by Fox News reveal that then-FBI Director James Comey’s draft statement on the Hillary Clinton email probe was edited numerous times before his public announcement, in ways that seemed to water down the bureau’s findings considerably.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, sent a letter to the FBI on Thursday that shows the multiple edits to Comey’s highly scrutinized statement.

In an early draft, Comey said it was “reasonably likely” that “hostile actors” gained access to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email account. That was changed later to say the scenario was merely “possible.”

Mueller

In describing Mueller’s “muddied path”, CNN wrote,

On December 1, all eyes in Washington were fixed on former national security adviser Michael Flynn pleading guilty to lying to the FBI. It was another sign that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential election was gaining steam.

Nearly 24 hours later, top officials at the Justice Department had a problem.

Media reports surfaced Saturday morning that two top FBI officials had traded a series of text messages trashing then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and supporting Hillary Clinton.

Later that day, Mueller’s office, in a rare move, was quick to issue a statement addressing the texts — perhaps a recognition of the potential political upheaval brewing.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions directed FBI Director Christopher Wray to make “any necessary changes to his management and investigative teams.”

The head of the House Intelligence Committee threatened top officials at the Justice Department and FBI with contempt of Congress citations, hurling accusations that they’d been less than forthcoming about the text messages.

Defenders of the President, in search of any avenues to discredit, diminish and distract from Mueller’s work on the Russia investigation, have now focused their gaze directly inside the Justice Department and FBI, pouncing on newly perceived vulnerabilities that have bubbled up within a striking two-week span.

If this case were in the private sector, President Trump would OWN Mueller and the next three generations of Muellers.

I suspect Mueller will position himself for pardon, and begin to scuttle his ship. For now, we will have to await the outcome.
