DRUDGE: 'INVASION INTENSIFIES

This morning, a Grassfire staff member saw a headline on the Drudge Report that read simply, "Invasion intensifies..." The article it linked to was both alarming and infuriating. It paints an awful, even sickening, picture of the illegal-immigration crisis plaguing our nation.
We learned that, in February, law enforcement apprehended more than 76,000 illegal aliens entering the U.S. from Mexico. That's the highest total of any month since 2008! And that's only how many border patrol and other authorities caught! How many more people invaded America undetected?
"Unprecedented" is how The Washington Post describes the staggering number of Central American parents and children crossing illegally into the United States. Several indicators suggest that the illegal-immigration crisis is now WORSE under President Trump and the "cabal" of radical, leftist Democrats and weak-kneed, pro-cheap-labor RINOs than it was under the open-borders policies of President Obama!
But the news gets worse. Conservative Review reports: "Almost none of those coming here are being deported." The article's author points to the U.S. government's catch-and-release policy:
A record 76,325 apprehensions for one month is truly staggering, not only because it’s the single worst month at the border since fiscal year 2008, but because almost all of these people get to stay on our dime. Projected for the whole year, this pace would result in 916,000 apprehensions. But the pace is growing every month.
While we had years with over one million apprehensions in past decades, most of the illegal immigrants were repatriated under expedited deportation within hours. This means that a lot of them were repeat crossers and they were deported in short order. These people coming now are first-timers and are successfully embedding themselves into our country within a few days, saddling us with the permanent cost of their care. ...
Plus, this is a worse migration because it’s dominated by kids and sick individuals who tie down our resources more than in the past.
The February numbers prove that America is neck deep in an alarming border-security crisis -- and the federal government is doing almost NOTHING to stop it! No borders equals no nation. This is NOT what our Founding Fathers intended, and -- based on recent polls AND the results of the 2016 presidential election -- it's NOT what "We the People" want!

The overwhelming percentage of illegal aliens who rely on taxpayer-funded assistance to survive is pushing the cost of government programs, such as food stamps, health care and public education, to unsustainable levels. Also, criminals entering our country to traffic drugs, violence and even people are a clear-and-present danger to the American people. According to the Conservative Review article, U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill for elective LASIK eye surgery for some female aliens and braces for illegal children:
It’s gotten so bad that illegal aliens have successfully taken us past our breaking point, creating a self-fulfilling cycle of catch-and-release. We are so overrun with migrants and detention facilities are so full that now, even those not eligible for catch-and-release are being released. We will never hear from them again, but will have to pay for their public charge and crimes committed.

As we mentioned again yesterday, the Senate is scheduled to vote next week on blocking Mr. Trump's national-emergency declaration on illegal immigration. Enough RINO (Republican In Name Only) Senators have now said they'll side with Democrats to pass a resolution of disapproval condemning the President's efforts to bypass Congress to fund a border wall.
In light of the number of illegal aliens rushing into our country, those Republican Senators need to grow spines, stand up to Democrats, and "Stop The Invasion!" The radical Left keeps pushing "open-borders" policies, in hopes of adding millions more Democrat voters to their ranks. GOP Senators MUST take action to stop it now!
The targets in "Tier 1" of our "Stop The Invasion!" FaxFire include 10 key Republican Senators. Several are already on record AGAINST the President. Nearly a dozen RINOs in the "Upper Chamber" might side with Democrats and vote next week against Mr. Trump's national-emergency declaration.
