Bush Threatened Congress To Get Bailout

THere would be martial law in America if we voted no.' --Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.,  27th District) says Congress threatened with Martial Law if bill is not passed --Posted by  saluki420 02 Oct 2008 Transcript: The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and  sustaining a panic atmosphere. That atmosphere is not justified. Many of us were told in  private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday, that the sky would fall,  the Market would drop two or three thousand points the first day-another couple  thousand the second day-and a few members were even told that there would be martial  law in America if we voted no. That's what I call fearmongering. Unjustified. Proven wrong.

If this is so, then Congress failed to inform us and failed to protect us, once again, from a  tyrant. Just like Neville Chamberlain with Hitler, the only thing appeasement does is whet  the appetite of a megalomaniac.

This Congress promised to "drain the swamp" yet, from day one, impeachment was taken  off the table. Well, Rep. Dennis Kucinich was right AGAIN. All efforts to create a unitary  administration (doublespeak for King/Emperor/

Tsar/Cesar/imperial tyrant/dictator) have  been met with a steady diet of red meat from Congress while it continues to play footsie  with this tyrant.

We are stuck with more than three more months of BushCo. God help us because heaven  only knows what other stunts he has in store.
